A big thanks to Waitrose in Leigh-on-Sea, and to all the shoppers who kindly popped a green token into the charity box last month.

As Waitrose shoppers will no doubt be aware, when paying for shopping, you’re given a green token, which is used to show support for one of the three charities being supported each month.

In March 2011, we were one of the supported charities, and as part of the Waitrose Community Matters programme, we’ve been awarded £255 by the branch at London Road, Leigh-on-Sea

A big thank you to the Dark Waters Theatre Group for raising £177.86 for Southend Hospital Radio during their Little Red Riding Hood show week.

They kindly held collections after every show and donated 50p from each programme sold to our charity.
